Rob Kardashian, the only male in the Kardashian family has been spotted late at night at a fast food joint. Known to be one who has hidden himself well from the spotlight in the last year and a half or so, Rob Kardashian is known to be undergoing some type of depression and with it, he had gained an enormous amount of weight. He has been criticized by many for letting himself go.
Rob didn’t use to be heavy. In fact, he was one, hot, smoking hunk at one point. But, we cannot blame him. I’ve known people who has gone through depression and when you do go through it, there are times that you don’t even feel like getting out of bed. Do you know how much calories you can burn just to get out of bed? I know this because I was doing so well with my health kick two years ago until we were forced to work from home for three whole months while our office was being renovated. The average steps that I take just to go to work and do the normal walking from place to place daily is approximately six thousand steps daily. When I work from home, the most steps I take is approximately 597 steps. That is just 10 percent of what my body should be doing without exerting any effort to exercise. I gained 20 pounds because of it. Now, imagine if I didn’t get out of bed. That 597 steps will be reduced to probably 30 for bathroom breaks. That’s a whole lot of inactivity. Thank goodness for Fitbit, I now try to walk at least ten thousand steps a day (which is about 5 miles).
So folks, do not judge someone who is going through a lot at the moment. Maybe food is the only way that he can comfort himself. I know, it’s not good. He needs help. He needs professional help. We wish him well. We hope that he gets the help he needs and be motivated to get himself out of this phase.
