Breaking news! Sony back pedals and decides to show “The Interview” on a limited release after pulling it over the weekend. After George Clooney appeared as a hero for blaming Hollywood for caving in to the hackers, Sony may have just found its balls and is thinking of ways to release the movie. It may be done via on-demand service or streaming – who knows?
What is at stake here is the freedom of speech. But do we really agree that it is about freedom of the press? What if North Korea makes a movie about a plot to assassinate the sitting president of the United States? How will we react?
