Okay, we all do some things in the privacy of our own home. Things that sometimes, we don’t want others to see or even know about.
That makes it a little different if you are a priest, like Fr. Tom Donovan of St. Aloysius in Illinois. He called 911 to report that he got stuck in a handcuff (and sounded like he was gagged with something or there was something stuck in his mouth while he was speaking) and needed help “before it became a medical emergency”.
After the incident, reportedly, Fr. Donovan went to the bishop (Bishop Paprocki) and told him the entire story before anyone else found out about it and was granted a leave of absence.
I don’t want to know how the priest got into the situation. Maybe the Pope would like to find out.
