Saturday Night Live opened quietly with tribute to Newtown, CT Shooting Victims (VIDEO)

It’s not your usual comedic opening from SNL, a show known to open with quirky humor and loud welcome.  This weekend, after the tragic death of school children mostly between the ages of 5-7 years old in a shooting rampage by a mentally disturbed 20-year old Adam Lanza, Saturday Night Live opened quietly with a tribute to the Newtown, Connecticut shooting victims with a children’s choir singing Silent Night.

Totally appropriate and respectable of the show to show its sensitivity to such a horrific event.
