The Most Expensive Art in the World is now “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.

Selling at Sotheby’s Auction House for $107 million dollars ($120 million including commissions)  is Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” topping a Picasso’s “Nude, Green Leaves and Bust” painting that sold for $106 million dollars.

It is surprising that people are still willing to pay that kind of money even with the status of our economy.  I guess they were right when they say that the rich are not affected by a recession.

So, if you want to collect artwork now – you better get started.  I have a few pieces myself but nothing that will probably amount anywhere close to the millions.  Yet, who knows?!
