“Soul Train” host and creator Don Cornelius found dead from apparent suicide.

Celebrities react to the news when they heard of Don Cornelius’ passing from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot this morning.

Don Cornelius is the host and creator of Soul Train, a show that broke down racial barriers.  A show that started in 1970 as a local program which eventually became a nationally syndicated program that aired between 1971 to 2006.

Officers responding to a report of a shooting found Cornelius at his Mulholland Drive home at around 4 a.m., police said. He was pronounced dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 4:56 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, said Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter. – Source
